A drop-in anchor is expanded by driving its internal plug with a matched setting tool after the anchor is dropped flush into the drilled hole, so you need the 3/8 size setting tool plus a hammer drill and the correct carbide bit. The M50630 clamshell contains the anchors only, not the tool or the bolts, so order those separately.

Carbon steel. The M50630 is a C-St (carbon steel) drop-in anchor, which suits dry interior concrete work such as hanging strut, conduit racks, and equipment off a slab. For wet, exterior, or corrosive locations you want a stainless drop-in instead.

The M50630 is packaged 100 anchors to a clamshell. That is a single-pack quantity, so a crew hanging a conduit run or a trapeze support off a concrete deck gets enough for the whole run in one pack rather than counting out loose fasteners.

Two reasons. A drop-in sets flush with the concrete surface and is internally threaded, so nothing protrudes and you can thread 3/8 rod straight up into it for trapeze or conduit hangers. A wedge anchor leaves a stud sticking out and cannot be removed cleanly. Where you need to swap or re-hang equipment later, the removable bolt of the M50630 is the practical choice.
