Metallics MAU38 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Metallics MAU38 sold individually or only by the jar?
It ships as a 25 piece jar, not as a single anchor. For a job needing a handful of 3/8 inch by 3 inch anchors you are still buying the full jar, so plan quantities in multiples of 25.
2) What is the Metallics MAU38 used for on an electrical job?
It is a 3/8 inch by 3 inch masonry-type anchor from the Metallics fastener line, the kind of anchor electricians use to hang strut, boxes, conduit supports and equipment off concrete or block. Diameter and length are the two things to match: 3/8 inch hardware and a 3 inch embedment depth.
3) Will the MAU38 anchor accept a 3/8 inch bolt or rod?
Yes, the MAU38 is the 3/8 inch size, so it pairs with 3/8 inch threaded hardware. The 3 inch length is the anchor length, not the usable thread, so allow for your fixture thickness when you size the bolt or rod.
