Metallics WAKJ15114HB Anchors 5/16 Blu Plas Wall Ancr Kit (Jar 100)

Blue plastic wall anchors are sized by the hole they drop into, so the 5/16 designation on the Metallics WAKJ15114HB kit means a 5/16 inch drilled hole in the wall. Drill clean and to depth, tap the anchor flush, then drive the screw to expand it.

It's a jar of 100 blue plastic wall anchors in the 5/16 size, sold as Metallics part WAKJ15114HB. One model, one pack configuration, so there is nothing to choose on the order beyond quantity of jars.

Plastic expansion anchors such as the Metallics 5/16 blue kit are for light loads, and they perform best when the hole lands in a solid substrate (plaster, masonry, or wood) rather than hollow drywall alone. For anything hanging unsupported off drywall with real weight on it, a toggle or self drilling drywall anchor is the better call. Typical electrical use for these is securing device boxes, straps, clips, and small conduit supports.

The WAKJ15114HB jar is an anchor kit of 100 blue plastic wall anchors in the 5/16 size. Plan your screws around the anchor you are setting, and order them separately if your job box does not already have them.

Yes. The 100 count jar is the standard way shops stock a single anchor size for repeat service work, and the jar keeps them contained in a van drawer better than a bag. If you standardize on one size for box and strap mounting, the 5/16 blue is the common pick.
