Metallics JBA15 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Can I use the JBA15 plastic anchor for a heavy wall-mounted load like a TV bracket or grab bar?
No. A 7/8 inch plastic anchor taking a #8 or #10 screw is a light-duty fastener. For a grab bar, TV mount or anything carrying real weight, use a toggle bolt or a self-drilling metal drywall anchor instead, or hit a stud directly.
2) How many anchors come in a jar of Metallics JBA15?
Each jar holds 100 of the blue 7/8 inch plastic anchors. The jar pack is the shop or truck-stock format, so one order covers a run of plate and strap mounting without opening multiple small bags.
3) Are these Metallics anchors suitable for electrical rough-in work?
Yes. The JBA15 is carried as electrical fastener stock, the sort used for securing straps, device plates and small enclosures to drywall or block. Screws are not included, so order #8 or #10 sheet metal or pan head screws to go with them.
