The Appleton EYF Series is a 25% fill vertical and horizontal conduit sealing fitting engineered to prevent the passage of gases, vapors, or flames from one portion of a conduit system to another. Built explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof, and raintight, this close-radius sealing fitting is suitable for Class I and Class II hazardous locations and restricts ignitable gases or vapors from accumulating enough to confine explosive pressure. UL Listed for use with Kwiko™ A sealing compound, the EYF Series delivers a code-compliant seal for both vertical and horizontal conduit runs in demanding industrial environments.

Key Features

• Hazardous Location Sealing: Required in Class I, Division 1 and 2 locations at the boundary where conduit leaves a classified location.
• Cable Transmission Control: Required where cables exceeding the permitted rate of gas or vapor transmission are used in Class I, Division 2 locations.
• UL Listed Compound Compatibility: UL Listed for use with Kwiko™ A Sealing Compound; also listed with certain competitor sealing cements (contact factory for details).
• Arc and Spark Protection: Required in Class I, Division 1 and 2 locations within 18" of enclosures containing apparatus that may cause arcs, sparks, or high temperatures.
• Explosionproof Construction: Explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof, and raintight design confines any explosion to the sealed-off enclosure and prevents pressure piling within the conduit system.
• Large Conduit Entry Protection: Required in Class I, Division 1 and 2 locations where 2" or larger conduit enters an enclosure housing terminals, splices, or taps.
• Precision Threading: Accurately tapped, tapered threads provide tight, rigid joints and reliable ground continuity, with a smooth, rounded integral bushing in each hub to protect conductor insulation.
• Versatile Close-Radius Design: Removable nipple in the male sealing fitting can be used interchangeably in the top or bottom hub, suited for sealing vertical or horizontal conduit runs.
