The Appleton PLG Series Close-Up Plugs and BR Reducers are explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof fittings engineered for threaded metal conduit and IMC installations. Close-up plugs seal off unused threaded conduit openings, while BR reducers create a smaller opening size for transitioning between conduit sizes. Both are rated for Class I, Division 1 and 2, Groups A, B, C, D; Class II, Division 1 and 2, Groups E, F, G; and Class III hazardous locations, making them a dependable choice for demanding industrial and hazardous-duty electrical systems.

• BR Reducer Materials: Copperfree (4/10 of 1% max.) aluminum with epoxy powder coat finish, or malleable iron with a triple-coat finish of zinc electroplate, chromate, and epoxy powder coat.
• PLG Plug Materials: Sizes 1/2 thru 1 use copperfree (4/10 of 1% max.) aluminum with natural finish or steel with zinc electroplate; sizes 1-1/4 thru 6 use copperfree aluminum with natural finish or malleable iron with zinc electroplate.
• Finish Options: Urethane paint is available on select items with the -UP suffix.
