B-Line Eaton auxiliary support bracket, Steel, Brackets and 1/2"-13 hardware, ATR Size: 1/2", Hole size: 9/16", Yellow zinc, Angled drop rod bracket

No. The 1/2"-13 hardware comes with the two brackets. What is not included is the all-thread rod itself or the structural anchor at the top, so order 1/2 inch ATR and your beam clamp or anchor to complete the drop.

The kit is two brackets plus the 1/2"-13 hardware to assemble them. You are not buying one piece, so plan quantities per drop, not per bracket.

The bracket is steel with a yellow zinc chromate finish, which is an indoor and sheltered-use coating. It handles normal humidity and incidental moisture, but for wash-down, coastal, or continuously wet exposure you want hot-dip galvanized or stainless support hardware instead.

Each bracket is compact: 2.5 in high, 2.25 in long/deep, and 2 in wide. That footprint lets it pick up a drop rod tight to ductwork or an existing trapeze without much clearance, which is the usual reason for an angled auxiliary bracket rather than a straight hanger.

It's an auxiliary support piece: it lets you hang or brace a 1/2 inch threaded rod at an angle rather than straight down, so you can pick up conduit racks, cable tray, or strut trapezes where the structure above doesn't line up with the run below. Use it when a vertical drop isn't possible; if the point of attachment is directly overhead, a plain rod hanger is simpler.

The kit weighs 1.5 lb, so a box of them is easy to carry up a lift and there's no rigging consideration for the bracket itself.
