B-LINE FTA075CC – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does the B-Line Flextray FTA075CC conduit connector actually do?
The FTA075CC is a conduit connector for Eaton B-Line Flextray wire basket tray. It terminates a conduit run at the wire basket so cable can transition from conduit into the open tray. It is a steel part in a black zinc finish, sized 3.25 in wide with .75 in height and .75 in length/depth, weighing .2 lb.
2) Is the Flextray conduit connector UL listed for an inspected commercial install?
It is UL Classified and carries CSA compliance, which is what most electrical inspectors and institutional specs are looking for on a cable tray accessory. The rest of the record covers material and finish: steel with a black zinc coating.
3) Will the FTA075CC fit onto the wire of a standard Flextray basket?
It is built as a Flextray accessory and clamps onto the tray wire, so it is intended for Eaton B-Line Flextray wire basket, not for solid-bottom or ladder tray from another system. The clamp body spans 3.25 in across with a .75 in profile in both height and depth, so it sits tight to the wire without eating usable cable space in the basket.
4) Is black zinc Flextray hardware okay to use indoors above ceilings and in data rooms?
Yes. Black zinc over steel is an interior finish, and this connector is part of the Flextray controlled-interior line, so it suits above-ceiling runs, telecom rooms and data centers. For damp, exterior or corrosive areas you want a Flextray accessory in a finish rated for that environment instead.
5) What part number do I order for the Flextray conduit connector, and how many do I need?
Order by MPN FTA075CC from Eaton B-Line. It's a single-model item, so there are no finish or size options to specify. Count one connector per conduit termination into the basket tray, not one per tray section, and add the conduit locknut/bushing separately since the connector covers the tray-side attachment.
