B-LINE FTA12SDOBLE – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Eaton B-Line FTA12SDOBLE Flextray part used for?
FTA12SDOBLE is a conduit connector for Eaton B-Line Flextray wire basket tray. It ties conduit into the wire basket run, so cable can transition from conduit into the open tray. Steel construction with a flat black powder coat finish.
2) Is the black Flextray conduit connector UL classified?
Yes. The FTA12SDOBLE conduit connector is UL Classified and carries CSA compliance, which is what most electrical inspectors and institutional specs are looking for on a cable tray accessory.
3) What size Flextray does this 12 inch conduit connector suit?
The FTA12SDOBLE is a 12 inch wide part (listed at 12 in width, 12 in length/depth and .12 in height), so it is the 12 inch tray-width member of the Flextray conduit connector range. If your basket run is a different width, order the matching width connector instead.
4) Is the Flextray conduit connector heavy enough to need extra support?
No. The part weighs .145 lb, so it adds essentially nothing to the load on your trapeze or wall brackets. Support spacing is driven by the tray and cable fill, not by this connector.
