B-LINE FTA075CCBLE – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does the B-Line Flextray FTA075CCBLE conduit connector actually do?
It's the fitting that terminates a conduit run at an Eaton B-Line Flextray wire basket tray, tying the conduit to the basket so cable transitions from the conduit into the open tray. Steel construction with a flat black powder coat finish, ordered as model FTA075CCBLE.
2) Is the black Flextray conduit connector UL and CSA accepted for a commercial install?
The FTA075CCBLE is UL Classified and carries CSA compliance, which is what most inspectors and spec writers want to see on cable tray accessories in commercial and institutional work.
3) Will the black powder coat match the rest of my black Flextray basket tray run?
Yes. The connector is finished in flat black powder coat to match black-finished Eaton B-Line Flextray runs, so exposed tray in ceilings, data halls, and AV rooms stays consistent without field painting.
4) Is this a conduit coupling or clamp for joining two pieces of conduit together?
No. This is a tray-to-conduit transition fitting for Eaton B-Line Flextray wire basket, not a conduit-to-conduit coupling. If you need to join two lengths of EMT or rigid, use a standard coupling or compression connector instead.
5) Is a steel Flextray connector the right choice, or should I look at a corrosion-resistant finish?
Steel with flat black powder coat is built for dry interior runs, where the coating handles handling scuffs and keeps the fitting visually matched to black tray. For wash-down, exterior, or corrosive environments, specify a Flextray fitting in a hot-dip galvanized or stainless finish rather than powder-coated steel.
6) Does the Flextray conduit connector come as a single piece or a multi-pack?
Model FTA075CCBLE is the single connector, sold by the piece. On a job with multiple conduit drops into the basket, count one connector per conduit termination and order accordingly.
