Removing the gate gives you full open access during a big initial cable pull.

The usable pathway is 3.625 inches wide by 6.375 inches deep, which is a narrow-profile section. It suits patch cord management and moderate copper runs between two racks. If you are stacking high-count horizontal cable bundles or need front and rear separation, you want a wider, deeper vertical manager instead, because exceeding the channel forces cable outside the gate and defeats the bend radius control.

Telco gray powder coat over aluminum, catalogued as grey. Telco gray is the standard finish B-Line uses across its open frame rack line, so it matches existing B-Line racks and most telecom room hardware already in that color. If your room is black-finish racks, this will read as a visible mismatch.

The section is aluminum with a powder coat finish, which is why the whole 108 inch length comes in at 19 pounds. It carries cable weight in the channel, it is not a structural member of the rack, so the load path stays in the rack uprights it bolts to. The tradeoff versus steel is handling weight and corrosion resistance rather than rack capacity.
