B-LINE SB560223CW – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What exactly is the Eaton B-Line SB560223CW, a full rack or just an accessory?
It is a guard rail cover for the Eaton B-Line series open frame racks, not a rack itself. It's a steel cover panel that ships with a base cover, a receptacle cover and the mounting hardware needed to attach it. If you need the open frame rack itself, this is the trim and cover component that dresses it out.
2) What are the dimensions of the B-Line SB560223CW guard rail cover?
The guard rail cover measures 25.94 in for length/depth, 23 in wide and 2 in high. Use the 23 in width to confirm it lines up with the footprint of the open frame rack you are covering before you order.
3) Is the B-Line guard rail cover heavy enough to need two people or extra fasteners?
It weighs 13 lb, so one installer can handle it. Mounting hardware comes with the cover, so no separate fastener kit is required to attach it to the rack.
4) Is there only one model of this B-Line open rack guard rail cover, or do I need to pick a size?
There is a single orderable model, SB560223CW. Nothing to specify beyond the part number, but check the 23 in width and 25.94 in depth against your rack footprint since no alternate size is offered under this part.
5) What is the B-Line guard rail cover made of, and will it hold up in a working data room?
Construction is 11 gauge steel. That is a heavy structural gauge for a cover panel, so it takes knocks from carts and cable pulls in an active MDF or IDF room without deforming the way a light sheet metal shroud would.
