B-LINE SB86086D066EW – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Can I mount a vertical PDU inside this B-Line cable manager?
Yes. The RCM manager is built for direct PDU mounting, so a vertical rack PDU fastens straight to the channel rather than needing a separate bracket kit. It also includes a dedicated vertical cabling section, so power and data can be kept separated in the same run.
2) Can you get to the cables from both the front and back of the rack?
Both sides open. The manager has a capacity access door gate at the front and at the rear, so a tech can dress or pull cable from the aisle side or the rear of the frame without removing the body.
3) Will this cable manager match white Eaton B-Line open frame racks already in my room?
Finish is Eaton white powder coat over aluminum, with black plastic components, which is the same white used on Eaton B-Line open frame racks. Standardizing on it keeps a mixed rack line consistent in a visible data room.
4) Is the SB86086D066EW cable manager UL listed for a data center or institutional install?
UL is the certification carried on the B-Line SB86086D066EW vertical cable manager, which is what most facility and institutional specs call for on rack-mounted electrical support products.
5) How heavy is this manager, and is it a one-person install?
It weighs 38.4 pounds. Aluminum construction keeps it light for its 66 inch height, but at that length two people make the lift and alignment to the rack easier than one.
6) What is the exact part number to order this Eaton B-Line vertical cable manager?
Order it as Eaton B-Line SB86086D066EW. That number covers the 66 inch high, 2.625 inch wide RCM vertical cable manager in Eaton white with direct PDU mounting.
