B-Line Eaton series open racks, Aluminum, #12-24 mounting hardware, Rack width 23, Mounting spaces: 6, Flat black powder coat, Blank filler panel

Six mounting spaces, which is why it measures 10.44 in in height. That is the gap it closes in a 23 inch open frame rack, so if you have a 6-space void between equipment this covers it in one piece rather than stacking smaller panels.

It is specified for #12-24 mounting hardware, which is the thread used on Eaton B-Line open frame racks with tapped 12-24 rails. Make sure your rack rails are 12-24 tapped and not 10-32 or square-hole cage nut, because the hole pattern and thread have to match for the panel to seat flat.

SB5772306FB is the Eaton B-Line part number for the 23 inch wide, 6 mounting space aluminum blank filler panel in flat black powder coat. Quote that number when standardizing filler panels across a facility so every rack gets the same panel.

It closes off unused mounting spaces on an open frame rack so the front plane is continuous. In a comms room that keeps airflow moving through the gear rather than around it, stops dust and hands getting into empty bays, and gives the rack a finished front. This one is aluminum with a flat black powder coat finish, so it matches black B-Line open frame racks.

At 4.25 lb it is a one-hand install. The panel is aluminum rather than steel and only .09 in thick, so a single tech can hold it against the rails and start the screws without help, even near the top of a full-height frame.

The panel is finished in flat black powder coat, the same finish Eaton B-Line uses across its black open frame rack line, so it reads consistent next to rails and other accessories in that finish. If your existing racks are clear aluminum or gray, the black will stand out.
