B-LINE SB116001 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size is the B-Line SB116001 rack base insulator?
It measures 20.3125 in by 15 in, at .063 in thick, and weighs .19 lb. That thin section is what you would expect of an insulating sheet that sits under the rack base rather than a structural spacer, so plan your anchor length to account for the extra .063 in of stack-up.
2) Will the SB116001 insulator fit a 19-inch open frame rack footprint?
The pad is 20.3125 in across and 15 in deep, which covers the base footprint of the Eaton B-Line open frame racks it is made for. Match your rack base plate dimensions against those two numbers before ordering, since the insulator has to sit fully under the base to isolate it.
3) Does the B-Line base insulator come with mounting hardware or anchors?
No. SB116001 is the insulator pad only. Floor anchors, isolation washers and bushings for the bolts, and the rack itself are all separate items, so order those alongside it if you are isolating the full ground path.
4) Is the SB116001 base insulator a UL listed or certified component?
Eaton lists certifications as not applicable for this part. It is a passive fiberglass insulating pad rather than a listed electrical device, so treat it as a material component within your rack assembly and take grounding and bonding compliance from the rack and the installation itself.
