B-LINE SB213S122TG – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the B-Line SB213S122TG wall bracket work with my 12 inch cable runway?
Yes, the SB213S122TG is sized for 12 inch runway width and measures 12 inches across to match it. It is a wall-mounted support, so the runway stringers land on the bracket rather than on threaded rod from the ceiling.
2) What size runway stringers does this Eaton B-Line shelf bracket accept?
It is built for 3/8 inch by 2 inch runway stringers, which is the standard tubular/channel stringer size on telecom cable runway. If your runway uses a different stringer profile, this bracket is not the right support.
3) Can I use this bracket on an 18 or 24 inch wide cable runway?
No. The SB213S122TG is a 12 inch bracket, matched to 12 inch runway width. For wider runway you need the bracket built for that width, otherwise the stringers will overhang unsupported.
4) How far off the wall does the B-Line SB213S122TG bracket project?
The bracket runs 15 inches in depth and stands 4.625 inches high, so plan on roughly 15 inches of clearance out from the wall face before anything else gets mounted in that zone. Useful to check against door swings, ladder racks, or equipment cabinet tops in tight closets.
5) Is this cable runway wall bracket aluminum or steel?
Aluminum. That keeps the bracket at 3.4 lb, which matters when you are holding it up one-handed against a wall while starting anchors. The Telco gray finish matches standard telecom runway and rack hardware.
6) Do I need anchors or mounting hardware with the SB213S122TG bracket?
Wall fasteners are not part of the bracket. You select anchors to suit the wall you are mounting to, whether that is concrete, CMU, or a stud wall with backing. Order those separately along with the bracket.
7) Why does this runway bracket have neoprene on it?
The neoprene is an isolation pad between the aluminum bracket and the wall or stringer. It cushions the contact point and keeps dissimilar metals from sitting hard against each other, which is standard practice on telecom runway installs.
