B-Line Eaton series runway shelf bracket, Use to support cable runway from wall, Runway wall support, ASTM A36 structural steel, Yellow zinc finish

It's a wall-mounted shelf bracket that carries cable runway off a wall instead of from the ceiling or from floor-mounted posts. You fasten the bracket to the wall structure and the runway stringers sit on the bracket, which is how you run cable tray along a data room or telecom room wall without eating floor space.

The bracket measures 25 x 18 x 3 inches and weighs 10 lb. Use the 18 inch dimension against your runway width: the bracket has to be at least as deep as the runway it carries, so an 18 inch figure suits runway in that class. The 25 inch dimension is what you need clear on the wall face for the mounting leg and diagonal.

It's ASTM A36 structural steel with a yellow zinc finish. A36 is the standard hot-rolled structural grade, so this is a load-carrying fabricated bracket, not formed sheet. Yellow zinc plating is an indoor-duty coating, fine for equipment rooms, telecom closets and conditioned warehouse space. For exterior or wash-down areas you want a hot-dip galvanized or stainless support instead.

Order the anchors separately. The SB214B15KYZ is the bracket itself, and wall fastening has to suit your substrate anyway, concrete wedge anchors into poured or block wall, or through-bolts to structural steel or blocking. Same for the hardware attaching the runway stringer to the bracket, spec that with your runway.

Wall brackets like this one are the choice when you want the runway clear of the floor and you have solid wall to anchor into, typical along the perimeter of an MDF or IDF room. Floor or ceiling supports are what you fall back to when the runway crosses open floor away from a wall, or where the wall is drywall over studs with no structure you can reliably anchor 25 inches of bracket leg to.

Eaton B-Line part SB214B15KYZ. It's a single-configuration item, one model, yellow zinc only, so there's no finish or size suffix to pick when you order.
