B-Line Eaton series runway shelf bracket, Use to support cable runway from wall, Runway wall support, ASTM A36 structural steel, Yellow zinc

It is a runway wall support: a shelf bracket that carries cable runway off a wall instead of from overhead threaded rod or floor-mounted posts. Use it where you are running ladder-type cable runway along a wall in a telecom room or data center and want the runway held at a fixed height without dropping supports from the ceiling.

Published figures are 27 in width, 25 in height and 3 in length/depth, at 10 lb. Those are the numbers to check against your wall space and the runway width you are supporting, and the 10 lb per bracket is worth adding into the load you are anchoring to the wall structure.

The bracket is ASTM A36 structural steel with a yellow zinc plated finish. Yellow zinc is a mild indoor corrosion coating, so it suits conditioned or lightly damp interior spaces such as telecom and equipment rooms. For exterior or washdown exposure you would want a hot-dip galvanized or stainless support instead.

Yes, the runway wall support is UL Listed. That matters on inspected commercial and institutional jobs where the cable support system itself has to be a listed component.

Order the anchors separately. What ships is the bracket itself, model SB214B24KYZ; the fasteners into the wall depend on your substrate (concrete, CMU, or steel stud backing) and are specified by the engineer or installer, not supplied with the support. Hardware attaching the runway to the bracket is likewise a separate line.

Use the wall bracket when the runway runs parallel and close to a wall and you have solid wall structure to anchor into: it keeps the ceiling clear and gives a fixed, repeatable height. Go with overhead rod or trapeze support when the runway crosses open floor away from walls, or where the wall construction will not take the load. Many rooms use both, with the wall shelf brackets along the perimeter and rod drops across the middle.

Spacing is set by the runway manufacturer's support interval and the cable load, not by the bracket, so follow the runway's published support spacing and place a bracket at each point plus at splices. Since each bracket weighs 10 lb and is 3 in deep at the wall, count that in when you size anchors and confirm the wall has continuous backing at every bracket location.
