B-LINE SB2260610YZ – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does the B-Line SB2260610YZ runway support actually do in a data room or telecom closet?
The Eaton B-Line SB2260610YZ is a 10 inch floor support for cable runway. It carries the runway off the floor (or off a supporting object) so ladder-style cable rack can be run through an equipment room without hanging everything from the ceiling. It is a support member only, so the runway sections, splice hardware and floor anchors are separate items.
2) Is the B-Line SB2260610YZ a wall bracket or a floor stand?
Floor support. It sits on the deck at 10 inches high and holds the runway up from below, rather than cantilevering it off a wall. If your runway needs to come off a wall or be hung from structure above, you need a wall angle bracket or threaded rod hanger kit instead of this part.
3) What are the dimensions and weight of the B-Line SB2260610YZ floor support?
It measures 10 inches high, 9.75 inches long/deep and 6 inches wide, and weighs 2.4 lb. Use the 10 inch height to set your runway elevation off the floor, and the 9.75 by 6 inch footprint to confirm you have clear floor space between cabinet rows before you lay out anchor points.
4) Is the yellow zinc finish on this B-Line runway support OK for an indoor equipment room?
Yes. The support is ASTM A36 structural steel with a yellow zinc finish, which is a plating intended for dry indoor conditions such as data centers, telecom rooms and MDF/IDF closets. For exterior or damp locations you would want a hot dip galvanized or stainless support instead.
5) Is the B-Line SB2260610YZ runway support UL Listed?
It carries a UL Listed marking. That matters on institutional and government jobs where the inspector wants listed components in the cable support pathway, and it is worth noting on the submittal alongside the ASTM A36 steel spec.
6) Does the SB2260610YZ come with anchors or runway attachment hardware?
What ships is the support itself, model SB2260610YZ, a 2.4 lb steel piece. Floor anchors are selected to your slab condition and the runway-to-support fasteners are ordered with the runway hardware, so budget those separately when you take off the job.
7) What size is this B-Line support ordered in, and are there other heights?
This part is a single configuration: SB2260610YZ, the 10 inch high version in yellow zinc. There is no finish or height option to select on it, so if your runway elevation calls for a different standoff height you are ordering a different B-Line support part number.
