B-LINE SB2127S152YZ – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size stringers does this Eaton B-Line runway support mount to?
It is built for 3/8 inch by 2 inch cable runway stringers. If your runway uses a different stringer profile, this bracket will not seat correctly.
2) What is the difference between a center hung support and a wall angle or triangular support bracket?
A center hung support like the SB2127S152YZ hangs the runway from threaded rod dropped off the structure above, carrying the run out in open space away from walls. Wall angle and triangular brackets cantilever the runway off a wall or rack frame instead. Use center hung where the cable run crosses open floor between equipment rows; use wall support where the run follows a wall.
3) Is the B-Line SB2127S152YZ runway support UL Listed?
Yes, it carries a UL Listed marking, which is what most data center and telecom specs call out for cable runway support hardware.
4) What are the dimensions and weight of this 15 inch center hung runway support?
It measures 15 inches wide, 21 inches in length/depth and 7.625 inches high, and weighs 3.5 lb. The 21 inch dimension is what you need to clear when planning drop rod spacing and overhead obstructions.
5) Is this runway support aluminum or steel, and will the yellow zinc finish hold up in a telecom room?
The bracket body is aluminum with a yellow zinc finish. Aluminum keeps the weight down at 3.5 lb per support, and yellow zinc is a standard indoor-environment plated finish used across B-Line runway hardware, so it matches the rest of a yellow zinc runway system in an equipment or telecom room.
6) How do I order the right B-Line runway support for a 15 inch runway?
Order by part number SB2127S152YZ. That number covers the 15 inch width, yellow zinc aluminum construction, and center hung configuration for 3/8 by 2 inch stringers, so there is no separate finish or size suffix to specify.
