Pre-galvanized (electro-galvanized) is a light zinc coating suited to dry interior work: mechanical rooms, above ceilings, indoor conduit and pipe racks. For exterior, parking structures, wash-down areas or anything corrosive, step up to a hot-dip galvanized or stainless B32 channel instead. The cut ends of pre-galv strut are bare steel and will rust first in a damp environment.

Yes. The open face is 1.62 inches wide, the standard strut dimension, so 1-5/8 inch spring nuts, channel nuts, conduit and pipe clamps, and post bases all engage the in-turned lips. The 1.37 inch depth only limits how deep a fitting can sit inside the channel, not what mounts to the face.

K06 is B-Line's knockout hole pattern in the back of the channel, so you can bolt the strut flat to a wall, deck or beam without drilling on site. The slotted face stays open for strut nuts. If your job calls for a solid back (no holes) or continuous slots, that is a different pattern designation and a different part.

12 gauge steel is the standard commercial strut thickness and is what most electrical conduit racks, trapeze hangers and light mechanical supports are built from. The B32 profile at 1.37 inches deep carries less than a full-depth section over the same span, so for long unsupported spans or heavier mechanical loads, shorten the support spacing or move to a deeper channel.
