B-Line Eaton series strut fiberglass channel and fittings, 12" Height, 28" Length, 1.62" Width, .450lbs, Fiberglass, Bracket, Vinyl ester resin

The BFV409-24 measures 12 inches in height, 28 inches in length/depth, and 1.62 inches in width. The 1.62 inch width is the giveaway that it is sized to the standard 1-5/8 inch strut channel profile, so it lands on a fiberglass channel face without shimming. Lay the 12 and 28 inch legs out against your wall and your pipe or cable run before you set anchors, because the 28 inch dimension is long for a wall bracket.

The bracket is 1.62 inches wide, which matches the standard 1-5/8 inch strut face, so it physically sits on a metal channel as well as a fiberglass one. Be aware of what you give up: bolting a fiberglass fitting to steel channel with steel hardware puts the corrosion problem back into the assembly at the fastener and the channel. In a corrosive or washdown area, pair it with fiberglass channel and non-metallic or stainless hardware.

What you order is the bracket itself, model BFV409-24, at .45 lb. Channel nuts, bolts, washers, and the strut channel it mounts to are separate line items. On a fiberglass run, spec the fastener material deliberately (stainless or non-metallic) so you aren't defeating the reason you went fiberglass in the first place.

Order it as BFV409-24, Eaton B-Line series strut fiberglass channel and fittings. The BFV prefix is the fiberglass vinyl ester line, so don't cross it with a B-line steel fitting carrying a similar number if the job spec calls out non-metallic support.

Just .45 lb for the bracket. At under half a pound it's a one-hand part on a ladder, which is a real difference from a steel fitting of the same footprint. The dead load you're adding to the wall or to the channel run is negligible; size your anchors for the pipe, tray, or conduit the bracket is carrying, not for the bracket.
