B-LINE B601-62GRN – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the Eaton B-Line B601-62GRN used for in a strut system?
The B601-62GRN is a two hole 45 degree adapter angle, a steel fitting used to join strut channel or attach a component at a 45 degree angle rather than a square 90. Each leg carries two holes, so you bolt one leg to the channel and the other to the mating channel or bracket to pick up a diagonal run or a knee brace.
2) What does the DURA GREEN finish on B-Line strut fittings mean for corrosion?
DURA GREEN is Eaton B-Line's coated steel finish, ordered when plain electro-galvanized is not enough for the environment. It is the reason to pick the B601-62GRN over a plain-finish version of the same angle. For heavy wash-down or chemical exposure, specify a hot dip galvanized or stainless fitting instead.
3) Do the bolts and channel nuts come with the B601-62GRN adapter angle?
No. The B601-62GRN is the bare two hole 45 degree angle only. You order channel nuts and hex head bolts separately, sized to the strut you are mounting to, plus one set per leg. Matching the hardware finish to the DURA GREEN fitting keeps dissimilar-metal corrosion out of the joint.
4) Is the B-Line B601-62GRN angle handed, or does it work in either direction?
It is a symmetrical two hole angle, 1.62 in on both height and width, so there is no left or right version. Flip it to suit the run. Only the 45 degree bend fixes the geometry.
