B-LINE B585ZN – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the B585ZN post base suitable for outdoor or wet locations?
It is steel with an electro-plated zinc finish, which is a dry indoor coating. For rooftop, exterior, or washdown work, specify a hot-dip galvanized or stainless post base instead; electro-plated zinc will rust where it sees standing water or salt.
2) Does the B585ZN post base come with anchors or bolts to fasten it down?
The B585ZN ships as the steel base fitting only. Concrete anchors, floor bolts, and the channel nuts or bolts that tie it to the B22A post are ordered separately, so size your anchors to the slab and to the load on the strut post.
3) Can I order the B-Line post base by part number B585ZN?
Yes. B585ZN is the B-Line (Eaton) manufacturer part number for the electro-plated zinc steel post base for B22A channel, and it is the single model offered.
