The B293-6ZN bracket is rated for a uniform load of 1200 lb. That is a uniform load figure, not a point load at the end of the arm, so spread the weight across the bracket rather than hanging it all at the outer hole.

Channel opening upward. Orientation matters on install: with the slot facing up you drop your spring nuts in from above and hang pipe, conduit, or equipment off the top face. If your run needs the slot facing down, this is the wrong version of the bracket.

It measures 3.5 inches high, 6 inches long, and 1.62 inches wide, and weighs 1.44 lb. The 1.62 inch width matches standard 1-5/8 inch strut channel, so it sits in line with the run rather than overhanging it.

It is steel with an electro-plated finish, which is a zinc plating meant for dry indoor service. For exterior, wash-down, or corrosive environments, specify a hot-dip galvanized or stainless strut fitting instead.

It is a cantilever arm off a wall or column: bolt one leg to the structure or to a vertical strut run, and the 6 inch arm carries a short length of channel with the slot up. Electricians use it for conduit racks and small equipment supports; mechanical trades use it for pipe hangers. Anything needing more than a 6 inch projection, or the slot facing down, needs a different fitting in the series.

The B293-6ZN ships as the bracket alone, 1.44 lb of plated steel with a single 9/16 inch hole. Order your strut nuts, bolts, and washers separately to suit the channel you are fastening to.
