The B293-24ZN carries a uniform load capacity of 300 lb. That is the rated distributed load across the 24 inch bracket, not a point load at the free end, so spread pipe hangers, conduit clamps or equipment feet along the run rather than concentrating everything at the tip.

It is a channel-opening-upward bracket. The strut slot faces up along the 24 inch arm, so you drop your spring nuts in from above and mount conduit straps, pipe clamps or trapeze components on the top surface. If your load needs to hang from underneath the arm, you want the opposite-orientation bracket instead, because you cannot get nuts into a slot that is facing away from you once the bracket is on the wall.

There is one 9/16 inch diameter mounting hole in the 3.5 inch back leg. That hole takes a 1/2 inch bolt or a 1/2 inch strut nut, so the bracket bolts through a single point into a strut channel, a beam clip or a wall anchor. With a single fastener, the hardware itself is what resists rotation, so it should be snugged to a flat bearing surface and torqued down.

The bracket is steel with an electro-plated finish, which is a thin zinc coating meant for dry indoor service, mechanical rooms, plant interiors and covered areas. For rooftops, wash-down areas, coastal exposure or anything wet, step up to a hot dip galvanized or stainless strut fitting instead. Electro-plate will surface rust outdoors.

Measures 3.5 inches in height, 24 inches in length and 1.62 inches in width, weighing 4.12 lb. The 1.62 inch width is standard 1-5/8 inch strut profile, so it lines up with 1-5/8 inch channel, standard strut nuts and standard channel clamps.

The part ships as the bracket only, 4.12 lb of steel with a single 9/16 inch mounting hole. You supply the 1/2 inch bolt, nut and washer or the strut nut that fits your channel, plus whatever clamps or straps carry the load on the arm. Budget that hardware into the order so the crew is not short on install day.
