That lets you set a post tight to a wall, curb edge or equipment pad without the plate sticking out past the strut on that face. If you need the strut centered on the plate, order a centered post base rather than the flush-to-side version.

DURA GREEN is Eaton B-Line's coated steel finish, and it is the option people specify over plain pre-galvanized steel for wet, humid or washdown areas such as rooftops, pump rooms and water treatment spaces. The base itself is steel. For continuously submerged or heavy chemical exposure, a stainless post base is the better call.

The base measures 8 x 3.5 x 3 inches (length 8 in, height 3.5 in, width 3 in) and weighs 3.2 lb. Use the 8 by 3 inch plate dimensions when you lay out anchor locations and check clearance to a wall or curb edge.
