B-LINE B570AGRN – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What does the B-Line B570AGRN post base actually do?
It's a steel post base that anchors a strut post to a floor or pad, and it's built to accept four channel combinations, so it works where struts come together at a column rather than as a single-strut foot. Overall size is 6 in height, 6 in length/depth and 1.62 in width, and it weighs 5.5 lb.
2) Is the DURA GREEN finish on this B-Line post base suitable for outdoor or damp locations?
DURA GREEN is Eaton B-Line's painted corrosion-resistant coating over the steel base. It handles general industrial and damp interior exposure, but for continuously wet, coastal or washdown work most specs call for hot-dip galvanized or stainless strut fittings instead. If your drawing calls out a green-painted strut system, this finish matches it.
3) Do I need a separate base if I'm only landing one piece of strut on the floor?
No. The B570AGRN is sized and drilled for four channel combinations, which is more base than a single upright needs. For one strut leg, a single-channel post base or a simple two-hole strut footplate is the cheaper and smaller choice. Use this one where two or four struts meet at the post.
4) Are anchors and bolts included with the B-Line B570AGRN post base?
The B570AGRN ships as the steel base itself. Concrete anchors, the channel nuts and the bolts that tie the strut to the base are ordered separately, so plan on anchor hardware sized to your slab and strut fasteners to match your channel series.
5) What is the Eaton part number to order for the green four-channel strut post base?
Order B-Line B570AGRN. That single model number covers the 6 in by 6 in by 1.62 in steel base in the DURA GREEN finish.
6) How much does the B570AGRN post base weigh for a pipe rack or seismic support submittal?
5.5 lb each. With a 6 in by 6 in footprint, that weight is worth carrying into a support load takeoff when you're stacking multiple bases on a rooftop or raised pad.
