B-LINE B3064-3ZN – Frequently Asked Questions

1) How much weight will the B-Line B3064-3ZN pipe support bracket hold?
The B3064-3ZN welded bracket is rated for a 600 lb load capacity. It is a light duty welded bracket meant for supporting pipe off a wall, so that rating covers the bracket itself, not the anchors you put into the wall. Wall substrate and fastener selection decide the real working limit on the job.
2) How far off the wall does the B-Line B3064-3ZN bracket project?
The B3064-3ZN measures 27 x 24 x 2 inches (height, length/depth, width as published). The 24 inch depth dimension is the arm run out from the wall face, and the 27 inch dimension covers the upright leg, so plan on roughly two feet of clearance behind the pipe run before you lay it out.
3) Is the B-Line B3064-3ZN bracket steel or stainless steel?
The bracket is steel with a zinc finish, which is what the ZN suffix on the B3064-3ZN part number refers to. Zinc plated steel is an indoor, dry-location finish. For washdown areas, coastal exposure, or outdoor runs, a plated bracket is the wrong call and you want a stainless or hot dip galvanized fitting instead.
4) Is the B-Line B3064-3ZN bracket only for electrical conduit, or can I use it for plumbing and mechanical pipe?
Its stated application is supporting pipe from walls, so it works for conduit racks, process pipe, or mechanical runs alike. B-Line catalogues it on the electrical side, but nothing about the bracket restricts it to conduit. What governs is the 600 lb limit and keeping the load within the 24 inch arm.
5) What is the exact part number to order for the zinc B-Line 24 inch welded pipe bracket?
Order Eaton B-Line B3064-3ZN. That is the full manufacturer part number, with 3 designating the size within the B3064 welded bracket series and ZN the zinc finish. It is a single configuration, so there is no finish or length to specify separately.
6) Can one person hang the B3064-3ZN bracket, or does it take two?
At 13.46 lb each, a single fitter can handle the bracket one-handed while starting anchors, though holding a 24 inch arm level at height is easier with a second set of hands. It ships as a welded one-piece bracket, so there is no field assembly.
