Entry/Non-Egress: Supports 1 3⁄4” doors. Includes cylinder and deadbolt latch. Must order desired knobs or levers and knob/lever passage latch along with 6503.009 or 6504.009 Adaptor separately. For a 2-1/4” thick door, you must order the 8098.000.TP03 thick door kit for the cylinder and a 5“ solid spindle 05xx.004.

Egress: Supports 1 3⁄4” doors. Includes cylinder, spindle, deadbolt latch, knob/lever latch, and egress cartridge. Must order desired knobs or levers separately. Spindle included with Egress kit will work from 1.75” to 2.25” Thick Doors. Must order 5399.xxx.C Thick Door Kit for doors 2” to 2.25” thick. No. The R027 dummy rose ships with either one or two roses, the matching backplate, and the retainers needed to fasten the rose to the door. Knobs or levers, latch and adaptors are ordered separately, so plan on at least two line items to build a complete dummy set.
2) What is the difference between the Pair and Half Pair options on the Baldwin Estate R027 rose?
Type decides how many roses you get. Pair gives you two roses for a full dummy set (a rose and knob or lever on each face, typical of double doors or a French pair). Half Pair gives you one rose for a half dummy, where only one side of the door gets hardware, such as a closet or pantry door with a push latch or ball catch.
3) Will the Baldwin R027 rose cover the existing bore hole in my door?
In most cases yes. Baldwin states that the R027, R029 and R054 roses all cover most singular tubular cut outs, so a standard single-bore prep left by a previous knob set will be concealed. Note that dummy trim does not use a latch, so you are covering the bore rather than filling it with a mechanism.
4) Can I mix the Baldwin R027 dummy rose with the egress version on the same door?
No. Baldwin is explicit that interior egress roses do not match interior non-egress or dummy roses. If you want visual consistency across an opening or down a hallway, keep the function families separate or stay with the dummy and non-egress trim.

8) Are the mounting screws visible on the Baldwin R027 rose?
