Entry/Non-Egress: Supports 1 3⁄4” doors. Includes cylinder and deadbolt latch. Must order desired knobs or levers and knob/lever passage latch along with 6503.009 or 6504.009 Adaptor separately. For a 2-1/4” thick door, you must order the 8098.000.TP03 thick door kit for the cylinder and a 5“ solid spindle 05xx.004.

Egress: Supports 1 3⁄4” doors. Includes cylinder, spindle, deadbolt latch, knob/lever latch, and egress cartridge. Must order desired knobs or levers separately. Spindle included with Egress kit will work from 1.75” to 2.25” Thick Doors. Must order 5399.xxx.C Thick Door Kit for doors 2” to 2.25” thick. Interior Egress roses do not match Interior Non-Egress or Dummy roses.

1) Does the Baldwin R027 passage rosette come with knobs and a latch, or do I order those separately?
The R027 rosette ships as either one or two roses with the matching backplate and the retainer(s) that hold the rose to the door. Knobs or levers, the latch, and any adaptors are separate orders. So budget for three line items minimum: the rose, the knob or lever, and the passage latch.
2) What is the difference between the Pair and Half Pair option on the Baldwin R027 rosette?
Pair gives you two roses, one for each face of the door. Half Pair is a single rose, which is what you want for a half dummy application or when you are only replacing or trimming one side. Every finish is offered both ways.
3) Will the R027 rosette fit the hole already bored in my door?
Most likely. R027, along with R029 and R054, covers most standard singular tubular cutouts, so it drops over a typical tubular bore without new prep.
4) What door thickness does the Baldwin Estate R027 work with, and what do I need for a thicker door?
The standard kits support 1-3/4 inch doors, the usual residential and commercial door thickness. For a 2-1/4 inch thick door on the entry/non-egress setup, add the 8098.000.TP03 thick door kit for the cylinder plus a 5 inch solid spindle (05xx.004). On the egress side, the included spindle covers 1.75 to 2.25 inches, but doors 2 to 2.25 inches thick need the 5399.xxx.C thick door kit.
5) Can I use the R027 passage rose to build a mortise entry set?
Yes. Passage roses in the Estate line are used to create tubular passage sets and also mortise sectional entry sets. Privacy roses build tubular privacy sets and dummy roses build full or half dummy sets, so pick the rose that matches the function you are assembling.

The egress kit is different: it already includes cylinder, spindle, deadbolt latch, knob/lever latch and the egress cartridge, so only the knobs or levers are added.
8) Are the mounting screws on the Baldwin R027 rose visible once installed?
On the 10 inch rose interiors and exteriors, screws are exposed. The exception is the entry and entry egress kits, which show exposed screws on the interior side only. Worth knowing if the client is particular about a clean face.
9) Is the Baldwin R027 rosette a residential or commercial product?
