Baldwin Estate R053 Hollywood Hills Rose Passage

The R053 Hollywood Hills is the rose only, the round decorative plate that sits against the door face behind a knob or lever. It isn't a lock and it isn't a knob. Baldwin builds it in the Estate Series with a brass substrate and a 1/4 inch projection off the door face. Buy it when you're replacing a damaged or mismatched rose, or building up trim on an Estate Series set that already has its knob and latch.

A pair covers both faces of one door, inside and out. A half pair is a single rose for one face. If you're patching one damaged side, order the half pair. If you're doing a whole door, or matching finish on both faces after a refinish, order the pair. Both options run across every finish the R053 is offered in.

No. The R053 rose sold here is the passage version, meaning it's a solid rose with no keyhole cutout and no privacy turn hole. Put it on a hall, closet, or pantry door where the knob just turns and there's no locking. For a bedroom or bath you need the privacy version of the rose, and for an entry or keyed door you need the keyed version, since those roses are cut differently.

The R053 Hollywood Hills is an Estate Series rose, so it shares the Estate finish range and finish numbering with the rest of that line. Match on the finish number stamped in your existing order, not on the name. Where it will not match is the rose profile itself, because Hollywood Hills is one specific rose design; if the other doors in the house wear a different Baldwin rose pattern, this one will read as a different shape even in an identical finish.
