It will not. On new doors, prep to suit the rose rather than the usual 2-1/8 inch bore.
3) What is the difference between the Half Pair and Pair options on the Baldwin R049 rose?
Pair gives you two roses with the hardware for both faces of one door. Half Pair is a single rose for one face, which is what you want for a single-sided application or when you are replacing one damaged rose and matching an existing finish. Both options come with the appropriate backplate and retainer(s).

For a bath or bedroom that has to lock you need the privacy version of the rose, which carries the turn and release prep. Order that instead and keep the R049 for hall and closet doors where matching trim is all you need.
