Baldwin Estate R055 Arch Rose Passage

The R055 Arch rose is the rosette only, the round trim plate that sits between the knob or lever and the door face. Knobs, levers, spindles and the latch are separate items. Buy this when you are changing the look of the rose, replacing a damaged one, or matching new trim to an existing Baldwin Estate set.

Pair gives you two roses, enough to trim both faces of one door. Half Pair is a single rose for one side only, which is what you want for a one-sided application or to replace a single damaged plate. Every finish on the R055 is offered both ways, so you can order a half pair in the same finish as the door's existing side.

No. This R055 rose is the passage version, meaning it is a plain rose with no keyhole or turn-button cutout. For a privacy bath or bedroom door you need a rose prepped for the turn piece, and for a keyed entry door you need the keyed rose. Passage is for doors that latch but never lock, such as hall, closet and pantry doors.

Projection is 0.25 inch, so it sits nearly flat against the door. That low profile matters if you are fitting it behind a knob or lever with a short shank, or on a door where a thick rose would foul a stop or an adjacent casing.

Brass is the substrate. The plated finishes, satin nickel among them, are nickel plate over brass, so you get the plated appearance with brass underneath rather than a cast zinc base. That is what keeps the heft and the edge detail crisp on a rose this thin.

Fourteen finishes: 003 Polished Brass, 031 Non-Lacquered Brass, 033 Vintage Brass, 044 Satin Brass, 050 Satin Brass and Black, 055 Polished Nickel, 056 Satin Nickel, 060 Satin Brass and Brown, 076 Graphite Nickel, 102 Oil Rubbed Bronze, 112/11P Venetian Bronze, 190 Satin Black, 260 Polished Chrome, and 402 Distressed Oil Rubbed Bronze. These are Baldwin's own finish numbers, so matching by number to your existing Estate hardware is exact. Note that 031 Non-Lacquered Brass is a living finish and will darken with handling, while 003 Polished Brass is lacquered and holds its shine.

Yes, order the Half Pair in the finish you need. Because Baldwin finish numbers are consistent across the Estate line, calling out the same number as your existing hardware, 102 Oil Rubbed Bronze for example, gives you a match on the replacement side without redoing both faces.
