Baldwin Estate R056 Beveled Rectangular Rose Dummy

The R056 is a dummy function trim, so there is no latch, no spindle turn, and no bore hardware behind it. It is a fixed decorative rose, used where you want the look of a knob or lever rose on a door leaf that does not latch, like a closet false door or the inactive leaf of a pair. If you need something that actually retracts a latch, this is not it.

Half pair covers one face of the door, pair covers both. Order the pair for a door you see from both sides, like a false closet door in a bedroom. Half pair is the one you want on the exterior face of a cabinet-style or blind leaf, or when you are replacing a single damaged rose to match an existing set. Both come in all fourteen finishes offered.

Brass is the substrate. That matters on the living finishes in particular: the 031 Non-Lacquered Brass is unlacquered solid brass meant to patina with handling, and the 033 Vintage Brass reads as an aged version of the same base metal.

It is classified residential. For apartment interiors, model units, and single-family work it is the right category of trim, but on a commercial opening with a graded hardware spec on the drawings you would be specifying something else. Dummy trim on a non-latching leaf is one of the few places this crosses over comfortably.

It is part of the Estate Series, so the finish numbers line up with the rest of that line. The shape is a beveled rectangle, which is what to check against your existing doors, a round or oval rose elsewhere in the house will not read as a set even in the same finish number.
