Baldwin R008 Privacy Rosette Only from the Estate Collection

Yes. The R008 Estate rose measures 2-5/8 inches across and is made to conceal a 2.125 inch pre-bored hole, so it fully covers the standard residential bore with a small margin all around. If your door was bored larger than 2-1/8 inches, this rose will not hide it.

It is the rose (trim plate) only, with mounting hardware included. There is no latch, spindle, knob or lever in the box. Order it when you are replacing or matching decorative trim and already have the working privacy set on the door.

Pick the pair if you are trimming both faces of one door, and the half pair if you only need one side, which is the usual case when replacing a single damaged or mismatched rose. Both options are offered in every finish the R008 comes in.

Fourteen finishes are offered, including 003 Polished Brass, 031 Non-Lacquered Brass, 033 Vintage Brass, 044 Satin Brass, 050 Satin Brass and Black, 055 Polished Nickel, 056 Satin Nickel, 060 Satin Brass and Brown, 076 Graphite Nickel, 102 Oil Rubbed Bronze, 112 Venetian Bronze, 190 Satin Black, 260 Polished Chrome, and 402 Distressed Oil Rubbed Bronze. Match the Baldwin finish number stamped or listed on your existing set rather than matching by name, since several brass tones read similarly in photos. Note that 031 is unlacquered and will patina over time, so it will not stay identical to a lacquered 003.

Privacy. The R008 is prepped as the privacy version, meaning it accommodates the turn button or emergency release used on bed and bath doors. A passage or dummy rose from the same Estate family is not interchangeable with it because the center prep differs.

Projection is 0.25 inch, so it sits nearly flush. That low profile matters if the door is close to a jamb stop, a pocket door pull, or adjacent casing where a thicker rose would bind.

Solid forged brass, not plated zinc or stamped sheet. That is why the Estate line is specified where the trim gets handled constantly. It is catalogued for residential use, so for heavy commercial traffic openings you would be looking at a commercial-grade lock trim instead.

It belongs to Baldwin's Estate Series, so the same R008 rose and finish can be repeated on every bed and bath door in a unit or house for a consistent look. Buying the rose separately also lets you refresh trim on existing Estate privacy sets without replacing the whole lock.
