1) Will the BEA 10MATRIXIIS1224 loop detector plug into an 11-pin socket base I already have on the wall?
Yes. The 10MATRIXIIS1224 uses an 11-pin male connector (86CP11), so it drops into a standard 11-pin octal-style socket base. If your existing base is 11-pin, the detector seats directly; if you have a 4-pin or terminal-strip style base, you need to change the base to an 11-pin.

5) Will a BEA loop detector hold a gate open while a truck sits over the loop?
Yes. Presence time is adjustable from 1 minute to infinity, so you can set it to hold the output as long as a vehicle stays on the loop, which is what you want under a loading dock door or on a safety loop. If you instead need a momentary signal for counting or a single open command, the detector also gives pulse on entry and pulse on exit with a 100 ms or 500 ms pulse output.
6) Can I wire the MATRIX loop detector relay directly to my gate operator's 120V motor control circuit?
The two change-over relay contacts are rated to 230 VAC max and 5 A resistive, so a 120V control circuit is within rating as long as the load stays under 5 A resistive. Motor loads are inductive and should be switched through the operator's own contactor, not the detector contact, to stay inside that rating.
