Metallics BHD8 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size hole does the Metallics BHD8 bell hanger bit drill, and how deep can it reach?
The BHD8 is a 1/2 inch diameter bell hanger bit with an overall length of 18 inches, so it will pass through typical wall and floor assemblies in one shot rather than needing an extension. The 1/2 inch bore is the common size for pulling low voltage, alarm, and communication cable through framing and sill plates.
2) What is the Metallics part number for the 1/2 inch by 18 inch bell hanger bit?
Order it as Metallics BHD8. That is the manufacturer part number for the 1/2 inch diameter, 18 inch bell hanger bit.
3) Is the Metallics BHD8 sold individually or in a multi-pack?
One bit per order. The BHD8 ships as a single piece in a pouch, so if you want a spare on the truck or a second length in the kit, order the quantity you need.
