2) Will a 3/8 inch SDS-Plus bit work in my standard 3/8 or 1/2 inch drill chuck?
No. The M391SD has an SDS-Plus shank, which only seats in an SDS-Plus rotary hammer. A keyed or keyless jaw chuck on a standard drill or hammer drill will not hold it. If you are drilling concrete with a conventional hammer drill, you need a round or hex shank masonry bit instead.
3) What anchor size does a 3/8 inch SDS-Plus concrete bit drill for?
A 3/8 inch bit matches 3/8 inch diameter concrete anchors, wedge anchors, sleeve anchors and drop-in style anchors that call for a 3/8 inch hole. Anchor manufacturers spec hole diameter equal to the anchor diameter for those styles, so the M391SD is the bit for a 3/8 inch anchor callout on the drawing.
