Bobrick 1002365 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What comes in the Bobrick B-1002365 urinal screen bracket packet?
The Bobrick 1002365 packet includes two mounting brackets plus mounting screws. The brackets are chrome-plated zamak. That is everything in the packet, so if you need the screen panel itself, or wall anchors suited to your particular wall construction, those are separate.
2) Which Bobrick urinal screens do the 1002365 brackets fit?
These brackets are the mounting hardware for Bobrick ClassicSeries 1545 and MetroSeries 1555 wall hung urinal screens. If you are re-hanging either of those after a wall repair or replacing corroded brackets, this is the matching packet.
3) Will these brackets work with a 1/2 inch thick urinal screen panel?
No. The 1002365 brackets are built for panels and screens 1 inch thick. A thinner panel will not clamp correctly in the bracket, so measure the panel edge before ordering.
4) Is this the bracket kit for a wall hung urinal screen or a floor mounted one?
Wall hung only. The 1002365 is a wall hung urinal screen bracket packet, meaning the screen is carried entirely off the wall with no floor shoe or overhead brace. If your screen sits on a floor-mounted post or between pilasters, this is the wrong hardware.
5) One bracket on our urinal screen broke off. Do I have to buy a whole new screen?
No, the bracket is a serviceable part. The 1002365 packet is the replacement mounting hardware for the ClassicSeries 1545 and MetroSeries 1555 screens, and it comes as a pair of brackets with screws, so you can rehang the existing 1 inch panel instead of replacing it. For a facility with a run of identical stalls, stocking a packet or two keeps a broken screen out of service for hours instead of weeks.
6) Will the chrome finish on these brackets match the rest of my restroom partition hardware?
The brackets are chrome-plated zamak, so they read as bright chrome, which is the standard finish on Bobrick ClassicSeries and MetroSeries screen hardware. If your existing brackets are stainless or a satin finish, a single replacement bracket will look different from the ones beside it. In that case replace the pair, which is what the packet supplies.
7) Is zamak strong enough for a urinal screen bracket in a high traffic public restroom?
Zamak is a zinc alloy die casting, and it is what Bobrick specifies for these wall hung screen brackets, chrome plated for the wet environment. It carries the panel weight in shear at the wall. Where screens get leaned on or kicked, the usual failure is the wall anchorage rather than the bracket body, so back the brackets into solid blocking or use anchors rated for your wall type.
