Bobrick 1002523 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Bobrick 1002523 latch packet used for?
It's a replacement out-of-service latch packet for Bobrick washroom products. You order it when the original latch on the unit is worn, broken, or missing, rather than replacing the whole washroom accessory.
2) Is the Bobrick B-1002523 latch made of metal or plastic?
Metal. The latch packet is Zamak, a zinc alloy die casting, finished in chrome.
3) Will a Bobrick 1002523 latch packet work on another manufacturer's washroom unit?
Treat it as Bobrick-only. It's sold as a Bobrick repair part, so match it to a Bobrick washroom product; other brands use their own latch geometry.
4) Do I need to order anything else with the B-1002523 latch packet?
It ships as a packet of latch components for the repair itself. Anything already on the unit, such as the door, strike, or mounting hardware, stays in place unless it's damaged too.
5) Is there more than one version of the Bobrick O/S latch packet to choose from?
No options to specify. It's a single part, model 1002523, in chrome Zamak, so there's no handing, size, or finish selection to make when ordering.
