Bobrick 1002522 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Bobrick B-1002522 latch packet used for?
It's a replacement latch kit for Bobrick washroom products, sold as a repair part rather than a complete accessory. Maintenance crews order it when the latch on an existing Bobrick washroom unit is worn, broken, or missing and the unit itself is still serviceable.
2) Is the Bobrick 1002522 latch made of metal or plastic?
Zamak, a zinc alloy die casting, with a chrome finish. That means a metal latch body rather than a molded plastic one, which is what property managers and facility crews usually want in high traffic restrooms.
3) What model number do I give my supplier to order the Bobrick chrome latch packet?
Reference Bobrick B-1002522, model 1002522, described as the I/S latch packet in chrome Zamak. That designation is what identifies the correct repair kit.
4) Is the B-1002522 a whole washroom accessory or just the latch hardware?
Just the latch hardware. The B-1002522 is a latch packet, a component-level repair item for Bobrick washroom products, so the host unit (cabinet, dispenser, or similar) has to already be in place. If you need a complete new unit, order the Bobrick product itself, not this packet.
5) Will the chrome latch packet match other Bobrick washroom hardware in my building?
The 1002522 packet is finished in chrome, so it lines up visually with chrome-finish Bobrick washroom accessories. If the existing units in the facility are a different finish, the repaired unit will read differently once this latch goes in.
