1) Is the Bobrick B-164 LED mirror hardwired or does it plug in?
The mirror is set up for hardwired installation as supplied. If you need a plug connection instead, Bobrick offers an optional 30 inch cord with a three-prong plug, ordered separately as part number 164-57. Decide that before rough-in, because it changes whether your electrician needs a junction box behind the panel or a receptacle within reach.
2) Is the Bobrick B-164 mirror rated for a wet or humid restroom or shower area?
The mirror and its mounting panel carry an IP44 rating, which covers splashing water from any direction, and the light engine itself is rated IP66. That makes it suitable for a humid commercial washroom. IP44 is not a submersion or direct-spray-down rating, so it is not intended for inside a shower enclosure.
3) How does the Bobrick B-164 mirror mount to the wall?
It is a wall mounted unit. The glass has an aluminum frame on the back side with key lock holes, so the mounting panel goes on the wall first and the mirror hangs onto it. Blocking or solid anchoring behind the panel matters here given the size of the glass.
4) What is the glass on the Bobrick B-164 mirror, and is it safety backed?
6mm mirror glass with a safety film backing, so if the glass is broken the film holds the fragments. The silvering is lead free and tested past ISO 9227:2012, 120 hour corrosion testing, which is what keeps the edges from black-edging in a high humidity restroom.
