Bobrick 370634 25 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the Bobrick B-370634 coin vendor ADA compliant?
It is listed as ADA compliant. Operation is push-button requiring less than 5 lb of force, with no grasping, pinching or twisting of the wrist, which is the operable-parts criterion that matters for accessible washrooms.
2) Our district now has to provide free menstrual products. Can this Bobrick vendor be converted from coin to free vend?
Yes, and that is a field conversion, not a new unit. Order part No. 3706-250 for the free vend conversion kit, or part No. 3706-166 for the token vend kit. The same mechanism also converts between 25 cent and 50 cent operation in the field, so a school or facility can go coin, token, or free without replacing the vendor.
3) Will the locks on this Bobrick vendor match the keys for our other Bobrick washroom accessories?
The two tumbler door locks are keyed like other Bobrick accessories, so one key can serve the vendor along with the rest of a Bobrick-standardized restroom. The coin box has a separate lock keyed differently, which keeps cash access limited to management rather than everyone with a service key.
4) How much product does the Bobrick B-370634 hold before it needs a refill?
Capacity is 30 tampons and 20 napkins, loaded at the same time. Loading takes no weights, and an empty product indicator automatically blocks the coin slot so users are not taking quarters for nothing. In high-traffic restrooms plan servicing around that 20/30 count.
5) What coins does the Bobrick B-370634 25 accept, and what happens if someone drops in a dime?
It takes one quarter, U.S. or Canadian, through a single-coin slot. Single-coin slots are what make it jam resistant. Pennies, nickels and dimes bypass the mechanism and fall into the product tray, as do coins returned by the push-button coin return that cancels a selection.
6) Should I use a semi-recessed vendor like the B-370634 or a fully recessed one?
Go semi-recessed when the wall is only about 4 inches deep, which is what the B-370634's stainless skirt is built for. A fully recessed unit needs the full 11-13/16 inch body inside the wall, so it wants a thicker wall or a chase. Semi-recessed keeps the rough-in shallow at the cost of the cabinet projecting into the room.
7) What finishes does the Bobrick B-370634 semi-recessed vendor come in?
Two: satin finish and matte black. The satin version is Type 304 satin-finish stainless steel on exposed surfaces, which is the standard pick for commercial restrooms and matches most other Bobrick stainless accessories on the wall.
