Both spout lengths of the B-82316 are built for a lavatory or deck up to 3 inches thick. It is a deck-mounted, counter-mounted unit, so you need a single hole through the deck and clearance below for the 20 oz polyethylene container and the ABS shank.
2) Should I order the 4 inch or the 6 inch spout on the Bobrick B-82316?
Pick the spout by how far the soap has to reach past the deck to land in the bowl. The B-82316 comes with a 4 inch spout or a 6 inch (150mm) spout, both rated for a lavatory up to 3 inch thick. Wide decks, backsplash-mounted holes, or wide-rim lavatories generally need the 6 inch; a tight vanity with the hole close to the bowl takes the 4 inch. Overall height is 16-1/4 inches, so check cabinet clearance below the deck as well.
3) Can I use regular liquid hand soap in the Bobrick B-82316?
No. The B-82316 is a foam dispenser, and the pump is built to aerate foam soap only. Filling it with standard liquid lotion soap will not work properly. Stock foaming hand soap for these units.
