It is a 3/8 inch diameter bolt at 16 threads per inch, which is standard UNC coarse thread for 3/8, so any off-the-shelf 3/8-16 hex nut or coarse-thread tapped hole will take it. Measured shank outside diameter runs 0.360 to 0.388 inch. Threads are made to ASME B18.2.1-1996.

Overall length is 1 inch. On a 1 inch hex bolt the grip is short, so it suits bolting strut, channel, brackets, or clamp bodies where the stacked material plus nut comes in under that length. For deeper stack-ups you need a longer 3/8-16 bolt instead.

They are steel with a zinc finish. Zinc plating handles indoor and generally dry or occasionally damp conditions. For sustained outdoor exposure, washdown areas, or coastal sites, step up to hot dip galvanized or stainless 3/8-16 hardware rather than plated zinc.

A hex head like this is the normal choice where you can get a wrench on both the head and the nut, such as bolting strut to strut, channel brackets, or beam clamps. If the head has to sit flush or the fastener goes into a strut nut inside a closed channel, a square head or a hex cap screw with a shorter grip length works better. For spring nut strut connections many installers use a hex head bolt of exactly this type at 1 inch so the thread does not bottom out past the nut.
