Fine thread. The JSBH402 is a 3/8-24 hex bolt, 24 threads per inch, so it mates with 3/8-24 fine-thread nuts and tapped holes only. A standard 3/8-16 coarse nut will not thread onto it. Shank outside diameter runs 0.3690 to 0.3750 inch.

They're 18-8 stainless steel, an austenitic alloy used where general atmospheric corrosion resistance is needed, including chemical and food-processing equipment. For aggressive chemical exposure or chloride-heavy environments, 316 stainless or another specified corrosion-resistant material is the better call.
