Fine thread. The JSBH406 is a 3/8-24 hex bolt, 24 threads per inch, which is UNF rather than the more common 3/8-16 UNC coarse thread. If the nut or tapped hole you're going into is 3/8-16, this bolt will not thread in. Measured major diameter runs 0.3690 to 0.3750 inch.
