1) Will a 5/16-18 hex bolt thread into a 5/16-24 tapped hole?
No. The JG5HC15 is cut 18 threads per inch, which is the coarse 5/16 thread. A hole tapped 5/16-24 is fine thread and will not accept it. Check the tapped hole or the nut you are pairing it with before ordering; fine thread needs a different bolt.
