1) Will Briscon SN-40 staples hold 12/2 Romex?
Yes. The SN-40 cable staple is 1/2 inch wide by 1 inch long and holds 14/2 through 10/3 non-metallic sheathed (NM) cable, so 12/2 Romex is inside its range. It also takes 14/2 and 14/3 AC, 14/2 and 14/3 MC, and 14/2 and 12/2 UF cable.
2) Do I need a staple gun for these, or are they hammer driven?
